Biography

Katherine is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and founder of Blue Mind Mental Health Services, a virtual psychotherapy practice serving clients across Ontario. With 8 years of psychotherapy experience and a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, Katherine brings both clinical depth and genuine warmth to every therapeutic relationship. Before establishing her private practice, Katherine spent 6 years working in Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) with children and families — experience that deepened her understanding of how early patterns shape the way we think, feel, and relate to others. She has also worked extensively in crisis settings, giving her a grounded, calm, and practical presence when clients are navigating their most overwhelming moments. Katherine works with adults, couples, and teens facing anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, burnout, relationship challenges, and difficulties with boundaries and self-esteem. Her approach is direct and solution-focused, sessions are purposeful and collaborative, aimed at helping you understand what's keeping you stuck and building real tools to move forward. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), drawing on whichever approach best fits each client's needs and goals. For couples, EFT helps rebuild emotional connection and break destructive cycles. For anxiety and depression, CBT provides practical frameworks for reshaping unhelpful thought patterns. For trauma, EMDR offers a well-researched path toward processing difficult experiences without having to talk through every detail — something many trauma survivors find to be a relief. In addition to her clinical work, Katherine offers individual clinical supervision to other Psychotherapists seeking licensure and other therapy professionals drawing on her experience working in private practice, behavioural intervention, and crisis settings. All sessions are held virtually, making support accessible wherever you are in Ontario. Katherine is currently accepting new clients and welcomes you to book a free 20-minute consultation to see if she's the right fit.
