Brittany Peddle
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
I have been working in mental health for over 15 years which includes working with children, youth, adults, and seniors one on one and in groups, in schools, community centers, and private practice. My education includes a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree with a Specialization is Psychology, A graduate certificate in Behavioural science, and a Masters of Psychology which is near completion with only my thesis to submit. I have received additional specialized training in neurodivergence (ASD, Down Syndrome, ABI, ADHD), trauma, somatic therapy, DBT, CBT, CPT, ACT, SFT, Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR. I currently own a private mental health practice, and am also a practitioner.
Personally, I understand what it is like to grow up in a difficult family which resulted in much trauma. As a young adult, I made a series of problematic choices which included abusive relationships, alcohol and drug abuse, and general neglect of myself. I realized that my trauma was not my fault but healing from it, so that I no longer suffered and passed that suffering onto others, was my responsibility. My wellness journey has been long and hard fought, and continues today and will forever more. The work is necessary, as all healing is possible. My hope is to share both my personal and professional knowledge and experiences with others to help guide them on their own journeys towards their own healing.
