MargINs Psychotherapy
About
With so many elements that shape who we are and how we navigate the world, how can we expect mental health treatment to focus on only one at a time? Creating the space for nuanced conversations, MargINs Psychotherapy focuses on culturally responsive practices, primarily catering to intersectionally marginalized populations.
Biography
Ariel Dasrath (she/her) has a Masters of the Arts in Counselling Psychology, with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Mental Health. As a second-generation woman of Indo-Caribbean descent, she is no stranger to the intersectionally marginalized lived experience, drawing on that background to considerately and empathetically approach understanding the experiences of others. Having worked in equity-based fields her entire life, she is committed to dismantling patriarchal, heteronormative, white supremacy ideologies in her practice, with the knowledge and understanding of what it takes to provide anti-racist, anti-oppressive treatment with a culturally informed lens.
