Brittany Forester
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), HBA, ADHD-CP, CCTP, EMDR
Accepting NEW Clients – Are you tired of stress, anxiety, or sadness controlling your mood every day? Do you want to learn to manage your emotions or communicate effectively? Are you hoping to feel more like yourself again? Do you want to learn more about the "why" and "how" you show up in your relationships, or re-connect with your partner? Has trauma or addiction been something that has followed you around long enough? Whether you're an individual or a couple, together we can look at what you're hoping to get from therapy and how we can work together to support your needs. I offer virtual therapy provincially, and in-person M9A.
I hold an Honours degree in Psychology, a Masters in Counselling Psychology, and EMDR Trauma Training. I have worked in Child Protection, as a Youth Worker, a Suicide Prevention Volunteer, and a Counsellor for Individuals with Disabilities. I'm excited to take my past experience and continue to build this into our work together, virtually or outdoors!
I take a trauma- and culturally-informed approach to supporting ADHD, trauma, stress, anxiety, and couples, and I have a passion for helping people build confidence in themselves. I draw from many frameworks such as EMDR, Narrative, CBT, DBT, IFS, as well as EFT and Gottmans with Couples.
