I am a Registered Social Worker and a Turkish-English-speaking psychotherapist based in Toronto, Ontario. I have a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Toronto and hold a Ph.D. degree in cell biology from Sabanci University, Turkiye. I have an integrative style in therapy to fit your unique needs and goals. I am trained and informed by different therapeutic approaches such as CBT, EFT, DBT, MI, polyvagal theory and Mindfulness-based approaches. My practice is client-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed, which prioritizes safety, choice, collaboration and empowerment. My lived experience in both Turkish and Canadian cultures informs my authentic therapeutic style. My integrative practice style prioritizes attachment-based, experiential work from Emotionally Focused Therapy, which has led to profound and long-lasting change for many people. Therapy is both exploration and collaboration. I meet my clients where they are in their journey and walk alongside them with compassion and warmth. My goal is to work towards understanding your unique needs, and support you in reaching your goals; improve coping and resiliency, and create long-lasting change with the support of our healing connection. During our initial sessions, we will explore your needs and goals and collaborate to create a plan for addressing your needs. Together, we can uncover new insights, helping you develop coping strategies that will support you in achieving your goals.
