Yasmin Ahmad

I’m Yasmin, a Registered Psychotherapist offering virtual psychotherapy to adults across Ontario. I work with individuals who are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or navigating life transitions, identity questions, and changing expectations. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and paced with care. I aim to create a space where you can speak openly, make sense of what you’ve been carrying, and explore patterns that feel confusing or heavy — without pressure to have everything figured out. Therapy is not about fixing yourself, but about developing understanding, flexibility, and self-trust over time. I draw from person-centred therapy, humanistic, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused approaches, and mindfulness-based practices. These approaches are integrated and adapted to your needs rather than applied rigidly. Depending on what feels helpful, our work may include building emotional awareness, developing practical coping strategies, or identifying small, manageable steps forward when things feel hard to navigate. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, particularly if you’re unsure where to begin. You don’t need to have clear goals or the “right words” to start — we begin with what feels most important to share. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help you decide whether working together feels like a good fit. I offer a rate of $160 per session.
