About
Hi, I'm Geneviève! I offer individual counselling and psychotherapy for adults. My approach to therapy is guided by the belief that every individual deserves meaningful human connection: to be seen, to be heard, and to be acknowledged. As a queer therapist, my role is to provide guidance, support, and practical tools that empower individuals to make choices that enhance their well-being.
Biography
There are many reasons you might be considering therapy. Perhaps you’re feeling stuck in cycles of anxiety, navigating relational difficulties, or overwhelmed by a challenging life transition. Maybe old experiences still linger beneath the surface, making it hard to feel calm or fully present. You want to feel more confident, reconnect with yourself and others, and move forward without fear holding you back. That’s where therapy can help. Together, we’ll get curious and listen deeply so you can better understand what’s happening and build the clarity, strength, and resilience you want to navigate life with greater ease. I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a deep appreciation for the connection between mind, body, and spirit. I earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts specializing in Human Relations and Spirituality and a Master’s in Counselling and Spirituality from Saint Paul University, integrating emotional and cognitive insights with a holistic perspective. As a certified yoga instructor, I also integrate mindfulness and somatic awareness into my work, helping clients cultivate self-compassion and emotional resilience. As a therapist, I bring a mix of training, real-world experience, and a genuine curiosity to keep learning. I can also relate to what it’s like being on the other side of therapy—my own journey as a client and queer individual has shaped how I show up in this work. My approach is warm and down-to-earth, creating a space where you can feel understood, supported, and valued as you go through life’s seasons. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to have it all figured out before reaching out. Whether you’re ready to dive in or just curious about what therapy might look like, I’d love to connect. Feel free to visit my website or email me for a free consultation—we’ll chat about what you’re looking for and see if it feels right.
