Biography

I provide counselling to clients living in the greater Kingston area to live happier, more satisfying lives. I work with people who are experiencing a variety of life circumstances including anxiety, depression, addiction, physical, sexual and emotional abuse, family issues, behaviour disorders, and trauma. I believe that honesty, 100% responsibility and learning to respectfully get along with others are all crucial to being at peace. My philosophy involves establishing and deliberately practicing these attitudes and behaviours with my clients. I encourage the active use of these principles in everyday life, regardless of the nature of the challenge. I obtained my undergraduate degree from the University of Montreal in 1993 (B.Sc. Criminology) and then completed my Master’s in Social Work from McGill University in 2005 while working full-time. I am a certified addictions counsellor (ICADC designation from the Canadian Addictions Counsellor Federation) and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) specializing in the treatment of sexually compulsive behaviours (non-offending type). English & French.
