Healthy Minds Psychotherapy was founded in 2018 with the mission of providing psychotherapeutic care to individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering resilience in each person and our community as a whole.

Think of me like a safety guide who will guide the intentional exploration of the intertwining nature of your learnt coping skills, relationships, past experiences/ events, thoughts, feelings, and actions to ultimately help shift you from a state of 'surviving' to a place where you are 'thriving'.

We are a group practice with psychologists, CCC's, CT's, and a therapy dog who offer counselling and formal psycho-educational assessments. We cover a broad range of presenting concerns for children, youth, families, couples, and individuals. We offer a variety of approaches as well: EMDR, Cognitive-Hypnotherapy, Art Therapy, Play-Based Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Attachment-Based, Somatic.

I work with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and ADHD to help them understand and embrace the parts of themselves that are often hidden beneath these labels. I also support parents in discovering their most authentic and confident parenting style, free from the pressure of societal myths and expectations.

I hold a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree in Outdoor Pursuits from the University of Calgary, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counselling with a concentration in Transpersonal Wilderness Therapy from Naropa University. I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I run True Nature Wilderness Therapy where we offer mentorship and therapy.

As a brown kid of immigrants from the Global South, I appreciate ​the nuances, struggles, and beauty of being from immigrant and global ​majority communities. My values of acceptance, compassion, curiosity, and ​connection guide my work. With an anti-oppressive, relational lens, I will support ​you to soften towards yourself, slowly heal, and move in alignment with your values ​instead of fear.

I work with individuals who are looking to overcome their trauma by learning healthier coping skills and more helpful resources, and who want to do deeper processing work to resolve and release trauma in order to let go of the past and move forward in life. I offer both support and solutions, using a client-centered approach utilizing DBT, ACT, EMDR, Somatic Therapy and other modalities.
