Gloria Akposheri, RN Psychotherapist
Clinical Coordinator | Healing Ways Psychotherapy
My name is Gloria Akposheri, and I am a Registered Nurse Psychotherapist, Clinical Coordinator at Healing Ways Psychotherapy, and a Mental Health Educator. With over 14 years of experience in the mental health field, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals across the wellness continuum—from acute care settings to community-based therapy.
My clinical practice is rooted in a trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach. I have a strong passion for working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, particularly newcomers, refugees, BIPOC communities, and those navigating cultural assimilation or identity transitions. I also specialize in supporting individuals experiencing grief, loss, depression, emotion dysregulation, anxiety, PTSD, and relational challenges.
Throughout my career, I’ve integrated evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and strengths-based approaches.
As Clinical Coordinator at Healing Ways Psychotherapy, I lead a team of skilled, compassionate clinicians committed to inclusive care. We are dedicated to creating safe, affirming spaces for people of all identities, including members of the LGBTQ+ community and individuals with different abilities.
My mission is to help clients feel seen, heard, and empowered as they navigate life’s challenges and discover their own path to healing. Whether you are dealing with trauma, emotional pain, or simply seeking a more meaningful life, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can begin your journey toward restoration and resilience.
