What is ADHD and can therapy help adults as well as children?

ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodevelopmental condition marked by persistent patterns of inattention, hyperactivity, and/or impulsivity that impair functioning across settings. While often identified in childhood, ADHD frequently continues into adulthood and affects an estimated 4–5% of Canadian adults. What does therapy for ADHD look like?

Can therapy replace ADHD medication?

That said, therapy alone is highly beneficial, particularly for adults with mild to moderate ADHD or those who prefer non-pharmacological approaches.

What co-occurring conditions do ADHD therapists also treat?
