About
Need someone to talk to? Feeling lost or hopeless? Going through a major life change or transition? When life gives us more than we feel we can handle, it can help to have someone to lean on. Allow me to support you as you navigate through life’s challenges. My clinical specialties include working with people experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.
Biography
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan, with a focus on interpersonal practice and mental health. I completed my graduate student internship at a women's mental health clinic, and went on to work in outpatient mental health and hospital settings. I like to utilize a client-centered approach to therapy that recognizes clients as the experts of their own lives and lived experience. I believe professional humility is critical for establishing a safe space for clients. During our therapeutic relationship, I will use my clinical experience to draw from multiple modalities (including cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy) in order to deliver care that supports and affirms clients, while also identifying patterns or behaviours that may present barriers to improving one’s mental health. Building a therapeutic relationship requires a sense of safety and trust. I welcome the opportunity to advocate for my clients’ wellness and healing. Together, we can create the change needed for a brighter tomorrow.
